Aims and Scope

Papsel Economics Journal or BOJESTECH is a peer-reviewed journal. The journal is published three times a year.

BOJESTECH focuses on a wide range of topics covering Mechanical Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Science, Environmental Science, Materials Science, and Earth-Surface Processes. BOJESTECH strives to publish quality research that contributes to the literature and/or influences policy making. In this regard, BOJESTECH welcomes research papers from economists, academics, and regardless of their institutional affiliation and geographical location.

Peer Review Process

BOJESTECH uses a double-blind manuscript review process. With a double-blind review approach, the identities of the authors and reviewers are unknown to both parties.

BOJESTECH does its editorial work using the Online Journal System (OJS). OJS is a system that systematically handles the BOJESTECH blind review process. After the manuscript is submitted through OJS, it is automatically entered and checked (by the journal manager) to ensure that the submission has been completed and has been prepared according to the PER submission guidelines. Currently, a receipt for the manuscript will be sent to the correspondence author stating that the manuscript has been received and is being considered for possible publication in BOJESTECH .

All manuscripts submitted for publication in BOJESTECH are first evaluated by the Managing Editor, either individually or in consultation with members of the Editorial Board, to assess their suitability for the journal in accordance with the objectives and scope of the journal. This is an important step to ensure that content is within the scope of the journal in terms of quality and/or impact on policy. Manuscripts that do not meet the standards expected of the journal are rejected with an explanation of the reasons behind the desk-reject decision. Manuscripts that meet the standards expected of the journal are then checked for 'likeness' using Turnitin software. BOJESTECH allows a maximum score of 20%. Papers with a plagiarism score of >20% are returned to authors for further rewriting to bring the index to 20% or less. This paper when resubmitted is then assigned to at least two reviewers. Reviewers have experienced researchers who have published at least papers in SCOPUS reputable journals and are part of the PER reviewer database. Reviewers are given 21 days to provide a detailed report on the manuscript with their decision recommendation, which may be 'accept', 'minor revision', 'major revision', or 'reject'. If the reviewer's reports conflict, the Managing Editor reads the report and paper and conveys the final decision to the relevant authors.

When a 'revision' decision is made, for a 'small revision' ('major revision') the author is given between 1-2 months at most to make the revision. When a revised paper is submitted, in the case of minor revisions, the Managing Editor reads the paper and its comments and makes the final decision. In the case of major revisions, the resubmitted paper is again assigned to the reviewer and the editorial decisions come from there.

In all cases, regardless of the reviewer's recommendation, the final decision on whether to publish or not a paper rests with the Managing Editor who makes the editorial decision considering the scope/purpose of the journal.

Frequency of Publication

Papsel Economic Journal publishes 3 issues in a calendar year (between January - December).
